A backwater valve (sometimes called a backflow valve) is a device that reduces the likelihood that sewage will flow into your basement when the main sewer system becomes overwhelmed and begins to back up.
French Drains
French drain is a type of drainage system designed to redirect surface water or groundwater away from a specific area, such as a homes foundation, to prevent water damage, erosion, or flooding. It typically consists of a trench filled with gravel or rock, and a perforated pipe that allows water to flow through it.
Grate Drains
Most homes have an outside drain located near the foundation. Its purpose is to direct water away from your home and prevent flooding. Without it, surface water would pool around your home’s foundation and drains, causing severe damage.
Sump Pumps
A sump pump is a device that eliminates moisture and prevents flooding in a home. Typically housed in a specially constructed pit below the main surface of a basement, a sump pump collects excess water from drains and pumps it out of the pit and away from the house.
